I would like to take this time to point out some men and women who I think like me in a particular way.

First the men:

Jay “Flash” Gordon- A big black guy who is prone to talk about political philosophies. He is gay… or bisexual (he often talks about his relations with women… in detail, but also about men too)… anyway, he's always nice to me and seems to pay me more attention than most normal people. After all, he always mentions how 'most' white people are idiots (this being stated in the precence of 3 white people- myself and my future roommate included- and he was obviously refering to the other Aryan White christian german kid sitting next to us, who just claimed to hate black people). Anyway, he's a senior and there's only like 3 weeks left.

Chris- He's my stalker. He stares at me. I don't like the way he does that. If he would just talk to me, I'd may warm up to him, but not now.

Jason H – Senior, tall skinny white kid. For a reference, just imagine a young Adam Sandler with slightly longer hair. We have similar intrests and even though I'm new to RTV, he seems to gravitate to my ideas and suggestions far more than anyone in the group. He likes to be around me at late night studies in the library and runs to the late night food place (known as the grille or taking “grille runs”). He's a sweet guy, but theres no way I can get close to him in the amount of time left in the semester.

Women

Nicole- I am VERY unsure about her age. This ranges from 19 to 23 (facebook age is 23, but its likely the wrong facebook). She's my dance partner in ballroom dance, and she puts up with me. She laughs at my silly jokes, and she… well she puts up with me. I like that. More likely than not I'm more interested in her than she is of me.

Jessica- Another dance partner who has a boyfriend. I'm interested in her as she appears to be taller than me. We talk about alot of stuff, and connect on the level of both being bisexual. I suggested that we should attempt to learn each other's part in ballroom dancing, effectively switching roles. I sorta like that Idea. I have no chance with her since her boyfriend is a great guy.

Lauren- I donno, she's been really supportive of me over the last month or so since most of my friends fell out…. partly due to my self-fulfilling prophecy and my idiocy. She's really nice and we talk about things. Lately she's been a bit skittish about hanging out with me. My idea is that either I smother her too much since she is my only friend left, or that she's developing feelings for me, and wants some time away. God I wish its the second one, lol.

… I probably divulged too much. Don't tell anyone. Shhhh.

wait…. day of silence?

wth is that?

was that monday, because this gay kid at MCC who's ALWAYS playing the piano (GOD, it's anoying) had this sign on his back  'gay pride will no longer be silenced'

BTW, I no longer go to MCC, in fact MCC doesn't exist anymore. I don't go to a Community Collge anymore but a Univeristy that doesn't offer dorms. I go to SFU, i know funny intials- Southern Univerity of Florida, and it's offically a Univerity because now they offer 4-year degrees in nursing, envirmental science, and 3 other things that are unintresting, and boring that I can't remeber.

Anyway, I still plan on attending USF by next year.

Day of Silence is an annual day of action to protest the bullying and harassment of LGBT students and their supporters. Students take a day-long vow of silence to symbolically represent the silencing of LGBT students and their supporters. In 2008, the Day of Silence was held in memory of Lawrence King, an eighth grader from E.O. Green Middle School who was shot by fellow classmate Brandon McInerney.

oh, well WAS day of silence monday?

anyway, Kristi got in an argument on monday with this other girl about gay marrige. It was quite entertaining because shee's not a religious nut, but she's pretty religious. She did have a point (which unfortuantly brought me and dustin into the argument, while we were fine just watching it) saying that it's fine that if someone is gay, or bi- or whatever; by saying that straight people aren't shoving our heterosexuality in other people's faces.

…what? I'm not understanding the logic here I'm not hating I just don't understand what you're saying…

As long as…straight people aren't waving their not-gay around, it's ok to be gay? Is that what she's saying?

I thought it was because we all have the same rights as individual human beings and shouldn't have standards held by a religion led by an angry wrathful guy who secretly loves you who happens to be his own dad. :P

You do what feels right, where it feels right.

If I see two people kissing in a park, regardless of the mixture of genders, it's fine by me.

Sexuality is a huge part of our existence, and to repress it and not let it be known is stifling.

I understand Shadow's point a little but for me it's for PDA overall not just for homo/bisexual people. It's hypocritical, coming from the guy who made out with his girlfriend and didn't care who watched in high school but nonetheless… people should be able to control themselves a little. Holding hands and such, FINE. That's cool. As long as no one gets an anatomy lesson in the process it's all good.

BTW, if Dustin's girl is religious enough to get into that kinda argument (cause the issue itself is getting old really) on the day of friggin silence they she TOTALLY IS a religious nut bro. I mean even the insane religious guy outside Cooper Hall wasn't there on the Day of Silence man. Probably not out of respect for other people's beliefs but even HE wasn't there man. Guess I don't like his girl now cause she's so religious LOL. If she tries to talk to me about God I might give her my very mean satanic views on religion. That won't end up too well. :D

*Reads shadows posts*

*Facepalm*

I thought you didn't want to spark any more arguments….

Ok. I see some logic going to work here, however I would like to poke some holes here and there.

“You should leave it in the bedroom”

Well I suppose we're talking about public kissing and so on and so forth, correct? While I agree to some degree here, it is evident that Shadow is specifically refering to homosexual relationships. Let me say that there are so many things that are done in the bedroom that are still done outside of it. After all, its a ROOM, and anything can be done in the room.

People sleep outside of the bedroom, and while unexpected, I can rebuttal with “People need to sleep somewhere”.

People have sex EVERYWHERE. If you think that there's a place on this Earth where there hasn't been someone had sex, you are seriously mistaken. Washing machines, tables, beanbags, hotels, couches, kitchens, offices, etc. People have done the nasty in the pasty.

People take off their clothes everywhere. Seriously, streakers.

People eat everywhere. I know Rik, for one, eats in his bedroom.

People watch tv in their bedroom.

The list goes on.

I realize this is a silly statement by saying that people do a lot of stuff in the bedroom that they still do outside, but it also brings me to the point about religious nuts and the bible. Lets say the room is the bible, and the passage of the bible about homosexuality is the thing that people should “keep in the bedroom”. If it is unacceptable to have people kissing outside of the bedroom, then why is it ok that other things can? If the passage about homosexuality is ephasised, why just that one passage out of hundreds of lines?

Religious nuts talk about the part of the bible that condemns homosexuality, and builds little soap box around that, but ignores the bits about stoning people and selling your daughters into prostitution to protect people. Seriously, if your going to make such a big fuss about one little bit of the bible, you shouldn't disregard the other bits just because they don't fit into your argument. This is exactly my point. Its all a matter of emphasis, or lack there of. If you are going to say that something should be kept in the bedroom, I'm going to have to say that things should be kept in the bible.

You caught me when I'm writing a paper. gewd job.

I'm just curious, HAVE you read the bible?

because the the bible is (supposedly) the word of god, and as jesus has condemned killing, why would you say the bible has people stoning others?

I don't remeber where but I do remeber that the bible did condemn not only homosexuality, but others as well: adultery, Incest, and prostituon. So why are you saying that the bible includes stoning, and prostituion?

BTW this is not an argument, but just a creative disscussion on sexuality being in the open. I know that my argument is useless because people have the right to do anything they want here.

Frankly, I don't think he literally meant “in the bedroom” specifically as the place you sleep. It's just a general term for places of lovemaking. I know I've taken it well outside the room I sleep in.

Regardless, I think it's more or less shadow just instigating more conflict, only for it to degenerate into a typical clusterfuck. Whatever.

Read it from begining to end? No. I have read bits and pieces, mostly Genisis and Revelation.

Stoning. I found a passage referring to the stoning of a woman if she is found to not be a virgin at her wedding.

“If any man takes a wife, and goes in on her, and detests her, and charges her with shameful conduct, and brings a bad name on her, and says, 'I took this woman, and when I came to her I found she was not a virgin…” (Deuteronomy 22:13,14)

“But if … evidences of virginity are not found for the young woman, then they shall bring out the young woman to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her to death with stones…” (Deuteronomy 22:20,21)

The bible also condones slavery and self mutalation.

“If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having two hands, to go to hell, into the fire that shall never be quenched.” (Mark 9:43)

And the bit about prostitution was specifically refering to Lots:

In Gen. 19, when God plans to overturn and destroy the five cities of the plain, he sends angels to the city of Sodom where they meet Lot at the city gates. Lot seems greatly concerned that the angels should spend the night in his house but the angels insist they wish to spend the night in the city street. Lot puts a great deal of pressure on them and eventually convinces them. However all the people of Sodom surround Lots house with intent to meet (in some translations, rape) the angels (19:5). Lot offers the men his daughters instead, whom he says are virgins (19:8), but the men were not interested.

Not only that, but Lots also had intercorse with his daughters who believed that they would have to repopulate the human race. Incest. They had a son named Mohab (From the father).

Well I've read the whole bible… YEARS ago and chose not to retain any of it. If you think about it, the Bible is not only changeable since the original version was written in a language we don't actually know so one could interpret it in anyway they would want to. AND I realized just how many fucked up people are in the fucking thing. In all honesty, a sacred book shouldn't be filled with countless stories about creepy guys like Sodom, and should be more filled with stories about how awesome God is. The Bible is really kinda like a buncha police tapes (written down of course not in viewable form) simply because the same shit you see in it is the same shit that still goes to jail in troves really. Christianity really is a fear driven religion, where you don't do good BECAUSE it's the right thing to do (as your intent should be) but only to save yourself from damnation. If God tells you your family is heathenous, then you're supposed to shun them and all that shit and that ain't cool. Every devout Christian will give you a reason for something being “wrong” (like homosexuality, sex before marriage, etc) not because it's wrong but because it supoosedly will send you to Hell. If it wasn't for the fear of Hell Christianity wouldn't be followed by so many people because fear moves people… IE Hitler and the Jews, the French Revolution, and the book 1984 by George Orwell (which I highly recommend to those who have not read it) etc.

My true point is that you can't really say the bible is God's word because not only did he not write it, but it was interpreted by other christians who didn't actually fully understand the language. Also that the Bible is kinda fucked up since it's just a bunch of horror stories to get people to fear a God who “loves” them so they only do good to avoid eternal damnation instead of doing the right thing since it is the right thing to do.
