Hey all, here's a thread about my art that I do. Whenever I take a new photograph or make something with my tablet, I'll shove it here if I want to show you guys or it can also be found Canti's deviantart! .
First order of business, is the fact that these pictures Black Mesa Poster 1 and Black Mesa Poster 2 have both been selected by Black Mesa Source as one of their 10 finalists in their contest.

Yeah, Deviant Art is pretty slow and unintuitive. It's why I pretty much only use it for old animations and jokes like SERM.

Man I knew better than to sucked into having a DeviantArt.
Its like Newgrounds, but with more kids who think they can draw good! And by draw I mean sketch the characters from Naruto or try to draw themselves like a ninja from that show.
No hates on Naruto of course, but damn you sent a lot of kids over to the deep end. TO me a F;ash animation is like a child: its stubborn, anarchist, and takes a lot of work to make it right.
A drawing is like Britney Spears: Before you know it the damn thing is shaving its head and claiming mental illness for attention.

I checked the gallery though. Interesting stuff. i especially like how you showed how you drew that rabbit. I always find it interesting when artists show how they made their creations. I forgot you have a tablet. I was wondering how you were using layering with pen and paper until it clicked for me.

Yeah, I always find it interesting to see how an artist or a film maker does something, no matter how mundaine. I loved to see these old camera tricks or fancy special effects that turned out to just be a guy in a suit… its all kinda like trade secrets. Also, I'm thinking about making a “how to draw” guide without all those “the chest is 3 heads high and the legs are 2 heads high, ect”… so it should be easy to pick up and learn how to do stuff. I'll work on it when I'm not so busy.
I may try making another original picture similar to the buny and the kitty pictures I did… in soviet art style.
