Well, since I've had one of these in just about every incarnation of Iceberg (save the first, where I just spammed a new thread every time I made a new cartoon) I declare my wonderful thread of flash artz open. It's pretty much gonna be the same thing as last time, but I think I'll at least give you fine folks a “current project” bit.

Current project: SRM Transformers 4 Part 2

I wrote it at the same time as SRM Transformers 4 Part 1, since it was originally intended to be one uber-flash, but between filesize and the myriad problems I had, it wasn't happening in one movie. I've had all the lines recorded since then, and they've been sitting on my computer taking up hard drive space until recently.

I started work about a week ago, and managed to get in 90 seconds of actual flash done. Things were going swimmingly until my computer went to shit again. I know what went wrong, and it got taken care of, but it was too late for my computer. So my computer is going back home on this coming Thursday to get fixed, and I'm not sure exactly when it will be back. Hopefully before the semester ends on the 22nd next month. In the meantime, I've got to put this flash on hold and possibly fill the time with other flash work. I've got plenty of stuff on the backburner, it's just really hard to make flash on a computer that takes up to 30 minutes to save a flash. When I was done with it, Night of the Living Spud 3 (http://www.newgrounds.com/port…..iew/455984) took 45 minutes to save. I'm not doing that to myself again.

Anyway, just an update on the world of flash work. More to come as the story develops.

Its a shame that something so simple as a computer worm can set one so far back in their schedule. Even though my knowledge on the creation process is limited, I somewhat understand the gravity of each flash and its size, especially the value of voice recordings. A flash isn't right without the right recordings you know?

Yeah, but I was lucky enough to backup my whole flash folder before my computer crashed for good.

It'll all come to eventually; just means I have to reinstall CS4 on my computer again and things should be right back where they should be.

I've got my own flash creations, but I'm not sure if I'll ever friggin finish them. I seem to get bored of them after a while, and make a new one. Then I rinse and repeat.

That's how 3d modeling is for me. If you don't really have a passion for it you will get bored and give up during the tedious parts. That's why I can stick it out for 5-6 hours of editing. I really enjoy what I do and what I can create out of nothing.

When I get the chance I'll work on a flash for 8 hours straight. I've pulled so many all-nighters on flashes, most notably the Night of the Living Spud series. I still remember submitting it at 6:25 in the morning, then going downstairs onto my dad's slightly better computer to watch it. That was a good summer.

I miss the days like that. Staying up all nite to accomplish something. I've done it a few times with Rik's school projects. lol Then I can't go to bed until I watch it like 10 times. And that was on school nites. But yeah, with no Iceburg projects recently I haven't accomplished much.

Nobody has really done anything hugely notable around here lately.

The only thing I tend to accomplish are comics, but those aren't that big a project and the quality of them have been getting worse lately. We should start up that new short series Rik was talking about.

I saw SRM in the Warhammer 40k armor and just started laughing.

Too much lmfao

Unfortunately I lack the ability to make tiny plastic models that look good :/ I did one once, and I still have it, but it looked retarded hahahaha

Well, this guy was metal. I've got hordes of plastic models too though. He's one of my commanders for my Space Wolves. All this should really belong in the tabletop gaming forum, but I know I'm the only one who would ever go there.

Besides, it fits in my little art thread.

I don't think I've table-topped since the beginning of this year when I  beat down my entire floor at Monopoly hahahaha

It was originally free for all, but everybody would quit and give all their valuable things and money to this one guy, and after a while it became 6 on 1.

So after I beat them all, nobody wants to play Monopoly with me anymore. And they won't take chances even on Sorry lmao

Well, I play Warhammer 40k, which is leaps and bounds more complicated than Monopoly I'm afraid…

Right now I'm doing some work on a secret project between me and Rik. I'm still stuck with Flash 8 and can't even open the SRM Transformers 4 Part 2 files.

What's with the number 2 LOL?

Maybe you should actually use these weird forms of SRM and the gang in a totally random flash. Like they get trapped in a parallel universe or some shit. :P

Well, the number 2 is because he's always SRM's sidekick. I think. I don't usually put much thought into these.

I have planned to use these versions at some point, likely as a side effect of drinking Bacon Cola.

Damn that looks tight hahahaha and the promise of Bacon Cola in the future only spells out win.

Because there's one thing that runs through a guys mind when he think about something:

Needs more bacon.

hahahaha

I think Bacon Cola would kill off like 75% of all the horribly obese people in America.

We should have it on shelves in a few days then man. :D
